Obituary for Donald P. Hendrickson

Donald P. Hendrickson, 79, of Hollywood, Florida (formerly of Monroe Township, NJ) passed away on Tuesday, January 23rd at his residence in Hollywood, Florida.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, he served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement from the financial industry in 2006, Donald worked at Fidelity Investments. Donald was a die-hard New York Mets and Knicks fan, at least until his move to Florida 10 years ago. His allegiance soon changed to the Miami Heat and the North Carolina Tar Heels basketballs teams!

Donald was predeceased by his loving wife of 44 years, Rose Gucciardo. He is survived by his sons Leonard Scimeca, John Scimeca and his wife Donna, his daughter Catherine Zemsky, son Peter Hendrickson, son Stephen Hendrickson and his wife Nicole, his sister Jeanie Holberg and niece Lilly Berrios and by 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 12:30 PM at the Holmdel Cemetery, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, N.J.
