Devoted Husband, loving Father, Brother, Uncle and Grandfather, James Andrew Ciminelli died peacefully at Sacred Heart Living Facility in Center Valley, PA on March 21, 2018.

Jim was born in Flatbush Brooklyn on June 23, 1929 to James and Mary Agnes Ciminelli. Jim spent his youth in Flatbush, went on to study engineering at Brooklyn Tech and began his professional career at Hearst Magazine in New York City. Jim was drafted during the Korean War and served his country honorably, after completing his service Jim returned to Brooklyn and began a long and successful career as a United States Customs Inspector working at the major ports of entry in New York Harbor and New Jersey, including JFK Airport, LaGuardia Airport, the Brooklyn Piers and Newark Airport. Jim was happy to retire after 30 years of service to spend time with his family, whom he loved dearly. After retiring, Jim and Mary Ann moved to Macungie, PA where they have been living for the last 10 years.

Jim was a devoted member of the Catholic church and loved working on cars. He avidly followed politics and would offer anyone in earshot his opinions on the subject. He also loved to dance, usually in the kitchen with his children.

Jim met the love of his life, Mary Ann in 1965 and they married soon after in 1966. Jim had an incredible devotion to his wife, protecting and loving her for almost 52 years. Jim and Mary Ann started their life and a family together in Huntington, NY and eventually moved to Bellerose, NY where they raised 10 beautiful children, 6 daughters and 4 sons.

Jim’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann; his sons Jim, Bill and his wife Janet, John and Joe; his daughters Mara, Kathleen and husband Mike, Jeannie and husband Dan, Patty and husband Tolson, Jennifer and husband Brad, and predeceased by his beautiful daughter Meg; 14 grandchildren Patrick, Cece, Kevin, Dan, Carrie, Matt, Jim, Tommy, Lilly, Joe, Rainer, Harper, Andrew and Liam; his brother Joe and wife Mary Bea and niece Ann Mary.
